Dies ist meist an ein einseitiges Ausdauertraining durch z.T. exzessive Nutzung der Kardiogeräte gekoppelt. Die Bedeutung des Krafttrainings hingegen rückt zunehmend in den Hintergrund. Empirisch gestützte Aussagen in Bezug auf effiziente Krafttrainingsmethoden und die Auswirkungen auf den Körper könnten dieser Tendenz entgegenwirken. Gesucht sind demnach ökonomische Methoden, da die Bereitschaft für Krafttraining gering erscheint. Die Problematik um eine effektive Krafttrainingsmethode, besonders der optimalen Satzzahl, sollte dabei im Vordergrund stehen.
Die infrequent Anzahl an empirischen Studien zum Einsatz- und Mehrsatz-Training bei Frauen zeigt sich sowohl im Leistungssport- als auch im Freizeitsportbereich.
